Uninstalling Zenshield

Remove Zenshield through Windows or Android, verify the uninstall, and distinguish deleting a shortcut, an installer and your account.

Use your operating system’s uninstall function to remove Zenshield. Deleting a shortcut or a downloaded installer is not the same as removing the installed app. If you also want account data deleted, make that request separately.

Before removing the app

Finish any task that depends on the VPN and disconnect it. Fully close the app if possible. If you are removing it because of a problem you want investigated, note the error and app version first so that information is not lost.

Do not delete unrelated network components or remove files by guessing which ones belong to the app. Let the operating system handle the uninstall process.

Remove it on Windows

Microsoft’s uninstall instructions describe the installed-apps route in Settings. Open Settings, go to Apps, find Zenshield in the installed-app list and use its uninstall option. Labels differ by Windows version.

Follow the prompts and restart if the process asks you to. On a managed computer, an administrator may need to handle removal.

Remove it on Android

Open the device’s settings for the Zenshield app and choose Uninstall. Some devices also offer this action by holding the app icon. If only the home-screen shortcut disappears, check the installed-app list to establish whether the application itself remains.

A downloaded APK may still be in your Downloads folder afterward. Removing that leftover package is separate from uninstalling the app and is not an account-deletion request.

Check the result

Look in the operating system’s installed-app list. If Zenshield still appears, record what happened during uninstall. If it no longer appears but you see an unexpected process, prompt or network entry, send support the exact name and your OS version before trying to remove other components.

Test ordinary internet access after removal. If there is a problem, describe whether it affects every site or one app. Avoid a broad network reset as an automatic follow-up to uninstalling.

Decide what you want to happen to your account

Uninstalling removes software from this device. It does not, by itself, send a request concerning account records. Follow requesting account deletion if that is also your goal.

If you use the app on another device, consider that installation separately. Removing software from one device is not a way to check what another device is doing.
