Look at the conditions behind “free”

PrivadoVPN advertises 10 GB of data at unrestricted speed each month on its free plan. Zenshield’s free access is funded through required, opt-in idle bandwidth sharing.

These are different arrangements. A free allowance describes how much of a provider’s service is included. A sharing exchange describes how you contribute to funding access.

Ask what happens after the allowance

If you are considering PrivadoVPN, check its current free-plan terms for what happens when you use the included data. Do not treat “10 GB free” as a complete description of every speed, location or account condition.

If you are considering Zenshield, check your own network plan as well as the sharing terms. “Free VPN” refers to the price of access. It does not remove mobile data, roaming or internet-provider charges.

Make the decision on your device

Zenshield is available for Windows and Android, with a direct APK for Android. Other Zenshield platforms are coming later. Use each provider’s official download page to confirm current support before making a choice.

Choose the arrangement you are comfortable with, then check that the app supports the task you need it for.

Read the sharing explanation and compare other funding models.

Use a session-based allowance check

If PrivadoVPN’s free offer interests you, test the activities you expect to repeat. Note the account’s usage counter, complete an ordinary session and check the counter again. Keep automatic downloads and other changing conditions in mind when interpreting the difference.

For example, you might use a VPN twice a week for a specific browsing task. Measuring two ordinary sessions tells you more about the fit than assuming you need an all-day plan. If you need regular video calls or downloads, test those tasks separately rather than borrowing the browsing estimate.

Confirm the boundary of the offer

On PrivadoVPN’s current page, distinguish the included unrestricted-speed allowance from what is available after it is used. Record the renewal date and any action needed to refresh access. If you plan to use several devices, clarify simultaneous-use rules separately from permission to install apps on them.

For Zenshield, an equivalent pre-use check focuses on permission to share on the intended network, acceptance of the policy and knowing how to stop. Our stop-sharing guide explains the options described in the policy.

Make the choice after that check

Choose PrivadoVPN’s free offer if its actual conditions and allowance suit the task you tested. Consider Zenshield if you prefer its exchange and your device and network fit. We have not run a comparative speed, privacy or streaming test, so this page does not establish a winner on those measures.
