Our country pages combine dated connectivity statistics with a local reference and a practical connection checklist. Their purpose is to help you prepare and interpret what you see. They are not a map of Zenshield servers or a test of local network performance.
What each indicator measures

The figures come from the World Bank’s World Development Indicators, with ITU identified as the underlying provider. Mobile subscriptions can exceed the population because one person can hold multiple subscriptions. Do not interpret a value above 100 as an error or as universal service quality.
Dates and missing observations
The snapshot was retrieved on 9 September 2026. Its World Bank source metadata reports an update on 13 July 2026. We requested observations from 2020 through 2025 and show the latest non-missing value for each indicator, alongside its observation year. Different indicators can have different latest years.
A missing cell means no observation in this selected snapshot. It does not mean zero access. Some territories have no separate observation in these series; we do not borrow the figure from a nearby or associated country. The directory covers 249 assigned ISO countries and territories, and 210 have at least one observation in the selected series.
Historical values are displayed to one decimal place. A stated change in internet use is calculated from the unrounded endpoints and expressed in percentage points. These comparisons describe the reported data. They are not causal analysis, forecasts or a claim that network quality improved by the same amount.
Geography, domains and timezones
Country names follow the directory’s assigned ISO codes and English display names. Regional groupings, language references and land-neighbor records are adapted from the open mledoze countries dataset. Geographic grouping does not establish sovereignty, border access, travel permission or a mobile provider’s billing area.
Timezone identifiers come from the IANA timezone project’s country table. A place can have several entries. We list identifiers rather than a single fixed UTC offset because offsets can depend on the date and specific location. No separate entry is not evidence that local time is undefined.
Country-code domain references are cross-checked against IANA’s root-zone directory. A domain suffix does not show that a site is official or physically hosted in that country. Follow the linked IANA record to inspect the registry reference, and read the full hostname before sharing account details.
Reuse the records
- Download the connectivity snapshot. World Bank / ITU data is attributed under CC BY 4.0. The values are filtered to this directory and observation window.
- Download the geographic reference. The adapted mledoze geography is available under ODbL 1.0, with source attribution. IANA timezone data is public domain; the domain links point to its root-zone reference.
These downloads are the same records used to build the pages. Updates are reviewed and rebuilt rather than fetched invisibly each time you visit. The website, Markdown mirrors and agent views use the same generated content.
Use the figures in a real decision
Start with your actual destination, device and task. Check the intended provider’s coverage list, any transfer allowance and the network owner’s rules. Then test the connection at the address you will use. Country averages cannot replace that check.
For a comparison between destinations, open a regional directory and read the observation years before comparing the values. If the dates differ substantially or an indicator is missing, keep that limitation in your notes instead of filling the gap with a guess.
