You can opt out at any time. Sharing is required for free VPN access, so Zenshield is for people who are comfortable with that exchange. How sharing works.
Using a free VPN in India.
A free VPN does not replace an internet plan. Here is what to check on the connection you use in India.
Keep an eye on your data balance
TRAI’s mobile-data guidance describes alerts at 50%, 90% and 100% of a plan’s data limit. Treat an alert as a prompt to check your remaining allowance and any charges after it runs out. This is especially useful when a mobile connection in India supplies both your phone and a laptop.

Need an IP address in India?
Using a VPN while you are in India and choosing a VPN exit there are different things. We have not published verified Zenshield exit locations for India. Check the current location choices in the app before relying on a specific IP location.
Is Zenshield free to use in India?
Zenshield does not charge a subscription. Free access requires opt-in idle bandwidth sharing, and your internet provider’s data charges still apply. App access and network rules can vary, so check the connection you intend to use.
Does Zenshield have VPN servers in India?
We have not confirmed which Zenshield server locations are available in India. Check the app’s available locations before depending on a local IP address.
Can I use it on an iPhone or Mac?
Windows and Android are the available apps. iOS, macOS and other platforms are forthcoming, with no announced release date. Check platform availability.
What happens after I download?
Install the app, sign in or create an account, then read the sharing terms during onboarding. Consent is required before participation. Use the Windows instructions or Android instructions for help.
Will a VPN give me free mobile data?
No. A VPN uses an existing internet connection. Downloading, VPN use and idle bandwidth sharing can use your data allowance. Check your plan before participating on mobile data or roaming.
