A free VPN does not replace an internet plan. Here is what to check on the connection you use in Wales.
Check coverage for the address you will use
Welsh Government recommends checking broadband availability and mobile coverage at the property. Use the address or postcode for your home or accommodation, rather than assuming that coverage elsewhere in Wales applies there. Its broadband advice also explains mobile, fixed-wireless and satellite options where a fixed connection is unsuitable.

Separate a weak connection from a VPN problem
On a connection you trust, first try the same ordinary website without the VPN. If that also fails, check the Wi-Fi sign-in, signal and provider service before changing VPN settings. If only the VPN connection fails, note the device, network type and exact error for connection troubleshooting. A VPN does not create mobile coverage or repair a weak broadband line.
A UK location does not guarantee an IP in Wales
If a website needs an IP associated with Wales, a United Kingdom label alone is not enough. Check the location actually offered by the app and what the destination website reports. Zenshield has not published verified Welsh exits. An IP-location result is approximate and does not identify your physical location.
Need an IP address in Wales?
Using a VPN while you are in Wales and choosing a VPN exit there are different things. We have not published verified Zenshield exit locations for Wales. Check the current location choices in the app before relying on a specific IP location.
Is Zenshield free to use in Wales?

Can I use it on an iPhone or Mac?
Windows and Android are the available apps. iOS, macOS and other platforms are forthcoming, with no announced release date. Check platform availability.
What happens after I download?
Install the app, sign in or create an account, then read the sharing terms during onboarding. Consent is required before participation. Use the Windows instructions or Android instructions for help.
Will a VPN give me free mobile data?
No. A VPN uses an existing internet connection. Downloading, VPN use and idle bandwidth sharing can use your data allowance. Check your plan before participating on mobile data or roaming.
